“Ballad of the Jester”
The demo version of “Ballad of the Jester” (BOTJ) is the version that was almost released. The truth is that I actually really love this version (and may end up releasing it someday). In the meantime, it lives here in the exclusive studio archive.
Why did we end up creating a new version? We decided to add an upright bass as well as layers and layers of guitars. In fact, here is Samir on guitar and BOTJ producer Nico at Sweet Spot Studio having a blast recording the electric guitar that ended up on the studio version:
But before BOTJ featured electric guitar, it was just my voice and an acoustic guitar. Let me know what you think about the demo!
